W´Sin GM 201 is a pale maleic resin with good light resistance. It is used as an universal resin in oil and alkyd synthetic paints, NC-lacquers and inks.

W´Sin GM 201 is a universal maleic resin used for applications in a wide range of paint products.

Although the paint films are clear when W´Sin GM 201 is combined with drying oils, cooking is recommended to improve weather resistance. To this aim W´Sin GM 201 is introduced and dissolved into the approx. 180 °C hot oil. Depending on the type of oil the temperature can be increased up to 240 °C and kept at this level until the solvent solution of the cooking remains clear after cooling down.

W´Sin GM 201 improves through-drying, gloss, hardness and film build of alkyd enamels and it adds gloss and structure to hammer finishes. For better use W´Sin GM 201 is usually dissolved in a suitable solvent and then mixed to the main binder.
