WorléeAdd 458
W´Add 458 is a nitrite-free flash rust inhibitor for water-borne coatings, especially based on latexes.
On top of an "anodic" action (precipitation of an insoluble salt at the metal surface) W´Add 458 is forming a film, which prevents the appearance of rust discoloration, well-known as "flash rust" during the paint application.
W´Add 458 can be used in emulsion paints as well as in water-borne anticorrosion paints e.g. based on W´Cryl 7158.
W´Add 458 is in liquid phase, and can be incorporated during any stage of the paint manufacture as well as post-additive. It is most effective at an alkaline or neutral pH. The recommended dosage is 0.2 - 2.0% on total formulation. The optimal additional quantity shall be tested by a serial investigation.
