W´Add 685 is a defoaming emulsion based on polydimethyl siloxane for the use in water thinnable paints, printing inks etc. of different composition.
W´Add 685 is a very efficient antifoam agent and defoamer. Even low addition quantities of 0.1 - 0.5%, calculated on total formulation, lead to foam-pure properties a fast defoaming. The optimum addition quantity should be determined by serial trials. W´Add 685 can be added during paint production as well as to the ready paint. Important is a homogeneous distribution. This can be tested according to a glass draw down. The dried film has to be free from craters.
