W´Add 2030 is a 28% solution of an aromatic disulfonic acid in isobutanol / methoxy propylacetate (MPA). It is a clear, yellow liquid which is used as a catalyst for promoting the cure of solvent and water based stoving finishes. .

The advantages compared to para-toluene sulfonic acid are improved water, salt spray and detergent resistance at lower temperatures, higher electrical resistance and less corrosion of application equipment, higher gloss of the cured paint film and better stability of the paints.

Application fields are conventional stoving finishes based on alkyd / amino resin, high solids based on alkyd or polyester in conjunction with methylated amino resins or HMMM resins. The addition of W´Add 2030 to such systems helps to lower stoving temperatures and reducing energy consumption.
