Resiflow W 52

Resiflow W 52 is a silicone free, modified polyacrylate flow control agent and resin modifier.

Resiflow W 52 exhibits an excellent compatibility with various resins and is recommended for solvent based and especially for aqueous systems and printing inks.

This carboxylic polymer can be made water soluble by neutralization with an organic amine or ammonia. Pinholes, craters, pores, fish eyes, roller marks, orange peel effect and other surface imperfections can be eliminated or substantially reduced by incorporating 0.5 - 3% Resiflow W 52 calculated on total formulation into water or solvent based coatings and printing inks. Frequently, 5% or more of the additive can produce totally transparent coatings. Additions of 5 - 15% Resiflow W 52 into coating formulations will substantially improve impact resistance and flexibility of the system. Resiflow W 52 is a weather and UV stable product.

Resiflow W 52 is suitable for solvent as well as for water based coatings and inks. In water based systems with pH more than 8 reneutralization is not necessary. Best results are obtained by adding Resiflow W 52 into the coating resin first and then blending it with the other coating ingredients.

At normal concentrations Resiflow W 52 is compatible with the following resins: alkyds, polyesters, polyurethanes, acrylics, nitrocellulose, rosin, neoprene, PVC, epoxies, epoxy esters and others.
