W´Sin MK 223 is an internally plasticized maleic resin intended principally for use in high quality nitrocellulose lacquers having good "cold check" resistance and rapid solvent release.

Because of its good compatibility with nitrocellulose, W´Sin MK 223 is mainly used for high quality nitrocellulose lacquers. Even small quantities of W´Sin MK 223 in these lacquers improve hardness, scratch resistance and film build. Due to its rapid solvent release, such combinations are also best suitable for modern industrial applications dried at higher temperature.

A combination of nitrocellulose, non-drying alkyds such as W´Kyd C 640 or C 641, plasticizers and of a high amount of W´Sin MK 223 is recommended for the manufacture of dipping varnishes of high build and flexibility.

W´Sin MK 223 is also suitable for quick drying sanding sealers without fear of reaction with basic zinc soaps.
